Lois Quinn grew up in El Campo, Texas and attended El Campo High School as a proud Ricebird. She was editor of the school newspaper and marched in the band. After graduating, she attended Victoria College and met the love of her life, Tom Quinn where they both were in the band, Tom being the drum major. Lois and Tom then followed each other to Baylor University where Lois was a member in the Golden Wave Band. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and married Tom on July 1, 1955. After raising her children in Houston, Lois worked for 20 years as the registrar at Conroe High School.
Fondly known as Mama Lois, she’s remembered as a beloved wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. From the time Lois was a young girl, her parents taught her to be true to herself. She became the mother of five children, three daughters and two sons. Lois was a skilled seamstress, in fact she hand-made all of her daughters’ wedding dresses, lined with amazing sequins and beautiful veils. When she wasn’t sewing, she spent time volunteering with WMU, Friends International, Ladies Fellowship, and playing cards with friends. Lois and Tom taught and mentored young married couples at church for many years and chaperoned multiple youth trips and activities. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Conroe for 50 years and a proud member of the Uplifters Sunday School class. Lois loved Jesus and was excited to meet her Savior face to face in heaven. She will be greatly missed.
