Lesley Robertson

Long time Walden resident Lesley Robertson passed away on Tuesday May 16. She had recently been in hospice care at Silver Hills Assisted Living in Montgomery where she has lived for the past several years following a fall that left her incapacitated in 2006. She was very active in the Walden community and performed in Walden Follies many times. Among her passions were folk music and dancing, writing (fiction), and participation in both a Walden book club and plant exchange. She volunteered to maintain the Walden welcome wagon service and visited many new residents in that capacity. Her social life included political events, Sip 'N Sail Cruise Society, and St. James Episcopal Church. Since none of her living relatives reside in Texas she had pre-arranged her funeral many years ago. She is survived by her son Steve and wife Jill, who reside in Australia and ex-husband Ron, who resides in California. Her requests were reviewed with Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road (N FM 3083 W), Conroe, who will host a brief graveside burial service at 10:00 am on Saturday May 19. Friends and neighbors who are able to attend will be welcome.
