Karen Ann Schmidt

Karen Ann Retzlaff Schmidt passed away September 14, 2015 in Montgomery, TX. She was born June 10, 1940 in Embarrass, WI to Clarence and Elenor Retzlaff. Karen moved to Houston in 1962, where she then moved to Conroe where she retired from nursing. She enjoyed playing darts, reading, flowers and crocheting. Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Elenor and Clarence Retzlaff, brother, Clarence Retzlaff and sister, Marlene Rusch and Susan Schmidt, daughter, Michelle Schmidt- Kenny and son, Robert Schmidt. She is survived by her loving husband, Archie Schmidt, children, Micheal Schmidt, Christine Hodge, Lisa Bly and Kim Buchanan, sisters, Jackie Matlock, Donna Wagner and Diane Chaltry. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at 3:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gavin Wheeler, Darren Bly, James Masterson, Jesse Masterson, Robert Buchanan, Jeremy Mathis, Steven Jones and Ryche Parker.
