She was born in Houston Texas, on February 15, 1959, to her parents Donald Ira Baker and Marcie Lanier Baker. She graduated from Douglas McArthur High School in Houston Texas in 1977. Karen met her “knight in shining armor” Howard Nash and they married May 7, 1988. Howard and Karen were blessed with thirty five years of marriage. They built their dream home in Montgomery Texas where they welcomed their son Logan in 1993. She retired in 2019 from the United States Postal Service after 20 years of service to the Montgomery community. Karen was known for the wonderful holiday meals that she enjoyed preparing for her family and friends every Christmas and Thanksgiving. Karen treasured her time with her two grandchildren Sophie and Easton over the last two years. She was a beloved meemaw and mom.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Donald Ira Baker, her mother Marcie Lanier Baker, and her son Lewis Duane Nash.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband Howard Nash, son Logan Nash and wife Haley, step daughter Stephanie Buffamonte and husband John, step mother, Janet Baker; sister Donna Price and husband, Chuck; nephew Chris Price, grandchildren, Sophie Kate and Easton Monroe.
Our family would like to express our gratitude to the caregivers from At Your Side Montgomery, Tammie, Yvette, Shay, Latoya, Jessica and Megan, we are so grateful for the exceptional care and compassion you gave Karen in her final days.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022, from 5-7pm. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Cashner Funeral Home.
