Jimmy Paul Johnson

Jimmy was born March 14th 1936 in Quitman, Mississippi where he grew up. Jimmy moved to Texas for work in his 20’s with his late wife, Jeanette. He was a welder for most of his working life and eventually retired from P.O.I. Inc as their shop Foreman after many years. Though he had no formal education or training, Jimmy was an exceptional carpenter and loved to wood work in his younger days, especially after retirement. He also loved riding his tractor, hunting and fishing with his grandchildren, and sitting on his porch with his dog and a cold beer. He was a member of Grace Family Fellowship Church.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his late wife Jeanette Johnson and then earlier this year by his wife Shirley Johnson, as well as his parents, Dora and Curtis Johnson, his brothers, R.J. and Jerry Johnson, sisters, Mary Louise Folkens and Sheri Guilliams and his Uncle Frank. Jimmy is survived by his daughters Janet Chandler, Jamie Baker and husband Wes, Gwena Lynd and husband Lloyd, grandchildren Trevor Millican and wife Mary Louise, Johnny Millican, Kelsea Kieso and husband Randy, Scott Baker, Dustan Thrift and wife Joanna, Jayna Lyle and husband Kris, Robert Miller, and Lyndsey Rhodes, seven great grandchildren, sisters Nancy McKnight, Diane Zachary, and Brenda Johnson, and Uncles Dan and Tootsie Johnson.
