Jacqueline “Jackie” Chambers Cochran was born on Sunday, May 3, 1931 and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the age of 91. She was preceeded in death by her husband, William T Cochran; her sister, Betty Jean Wright; and her parents Jack & Zell Chambers.
She is survived by her beloved family, sons: Greg Cochran; Bill Cochran Jr. and wife Kim. Daughters: Linda Carol Feagin and husband Tommy; Lucinda Marshall and husband Thad; Susan Nightingale and husband Steve all of Conroe. She had 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Jackie was a long time Conroe resident that was Homecoming Queen and Head Cheerleader for her alma mater, Conroe High School. She met her husband, Bill, while working as the ticket girl at Crighton Theater. She married her husband on July 9, 1949 and was married for over 50 years before his passing in 2007. She was a homemaker that helped run the family clothing business with her husband, sons and numerous Conroe natives. She had a devout love for the Lord. Her passions included watching baseball, old movies, reading scripture, playing dominoes and drinking coffee. Her love for flowers and gardening came second to her love for watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play and grow up swimming in her backyard.
Visitation will be held Thursday March 30, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 at 2:00pm in Cashner Colonial Hall with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery from 3:00 to 3:30PM.
Pallbearers will be Beau Cochran, Britton Burkett, Taylor Cochran, Donnie Cates, Jack Cochran and Tommy Feagin. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Johnny O’Neal, Buddy Cochran, Roy Burris and Dylan Essary.
