February 27, 1932 in Houston, Texas to Luke and Vercilla Curtis. He will be forever remembered by his
loving wife of 65 years, Peggy R. Curtis, Son’s Jack Curtis Jr., James Curtis and wife Margie, Mark Curtis
and wife Ginger, and daughter Kimberly Fondon and husband Jeff. He is also survived by nine
Grandchildren: Tiffany Rawson and husband Markus, Bryan Curtis, Christa Curtis, Kathryn Wells and
husband Austin, Brandon Curtis and wife Denise, Jimmy Curtis and wife Caitlyn, Justin Fondon and wife
Carter, Dustin Curtis and Brandee Curtis. As well as five Great Grandchildren: Tyler Rawson, Mason
Curtis, Easton Wells, Chaseleigh Fondon, and Dylan Rawson. He was Preceded in Death by his Parents
Luke and Vercilla Curtis and Brother Martin Curtis. Jack Graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 1951.
He joined the National Guard Reserves in 1951, and enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1952, where he
served actively for 4 years, and reserves for an additional 3 years. In 1956, he began his career with The
Texas Department of Public Safety, where he served until his retirement at the Rank of Captain in 1993
with over 37 years of service. After his retirement, Jack continued to serve the community through
various activities and was a faithful member of the Masonic Lodge in Willis, Texas. Visitation will be held
Monday, November 26, 2018 from 12:30pm to 2:00pm with services beginning at 2:00pm in Cashner
Colonial Chapel (801 Teas Rd, Conroe, Texas, 77303). Burial will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. In
Lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the Alzheimer's Foundation or a charity of your choice. You
