Homa Earl Reynolds

Homa Earl Reynolds, 88, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He went to his Heavenly Home on May 30, 2021. He was born on January 14, 1933, to Harris and Pauline Reynolds on the family farm in Lovelady, Texas.

He graduated from Lovelady High school in 1950. He received a draft notice from the U.S. Army on his birthday in 1954. He had been dating the love of his life, Jo Ann Parrott, at the time and they decided to get married before he left for duty. They married on February 2, 1954. Ten days later, he left to serve Uncle Sam. Homa had an earlier knee injury; boot camp exacerbated the injury, and he was medically discharged from the army 3 months later.

Homa received Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1959. He and Jo Ann faithfully served the Lord for their entire marriage. They were long time members of Calvary Baptist Church in Conroe.

Homa worked for Houston Light and Power Company and retired after 39 years of service.

He is preceded in death by parents, Harris and Pauline Reynolds; twin sister, Loma Pearl Bitner and spouse Ray Bitner; sister, Evelyn Reynolds; brothers, Wilburn Reynolds, Wayland Reynolds and wife Mary Reynolds, Bernadine Reynolds and wife Ebilene; great grandson, David Earl Sammons.

Homa is survived by wife of 67 years, Jo Ann Parrott Reynolds; son, Randy Reynolds and wife Vicki; daughter, Cindy Malloy and husband Larry; grandson, Joshua Reynolds; granddaughter, Stephanie Daniell; grandson, Stephen Sammons and wife Angelica; granddaughter, Kimberly Helms and husband John; great grandchildren, Alyssa Daniell, Ashlyn Daniell, Kaleb Helms, Xander Sammons, Gunner Sammons; step greatgrandchildren, Ryan Stevens, Rebecca Stevens, Tyler Helms and Peyton Helms; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 10:00am at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. A graveside service will be held in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Lovelady, Texas, at a later date.
