Fred Milam Taylor was born in Houston, Texas on November 9th, 1946. His good friends and family knew him as Bubba, and he was a true Native Texas. Bubba passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024 at the age of 77 and walked into Heaven surrounded by his loving family.
Fred was a true cowboy. He loved riding horses, raising animals, spending time with friends, telling stories, driving thru the hill country, writing poetry and eating Blue Bell ice cream. He had a heart the size of Texas, and was always the first to offer his help to a friend or family member that needed it. He knew the difference between a Cap and a Hat, and he loved to teach that to anyone that came along that didn’t. He loved to eat good food, and he often planned road trips around what towns had the best restaurants in them. He was an expert in bread pudding, and insisted on trying it anywhere that served it. Above everything in life that he loved, family was the most important thing to him. They were his Treasure. We know that right now he is sitting with his mom and dad in Heaven, smiling down on us all.
Fred is survived by his wife of 40 years, Michelle Taylor, his daughter, Danitza “De” Stoltje and her husband, Robert Stoltje, grandchildren Amber Stoltje, Ashlee Stoltje and Robbie Stoltje. His Brother, Tim Taylor, Nephew, Cody Taylor and Niece, Cari Box (Taylor).
Fred may no longer be with us here on Earth, but he will never be forgotten.
When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand. An Angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand. The angel said my place was ready, In Heaven far above, and that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly love. But when I walked through Heaven’s Gates, I felt so much at home, for God looked down, smiled at me and told me “Welcome home”. So when tomorrow starts without me, Don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right there in your heart.
A Celebration of Life service for Fred will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 3:00 PM, at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 East White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas 77304,
