Edward James Goodney or “Sonny” passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of sixty-six in Willis, Texas. Edward was born in Montgomery County on September 22, 1955.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid hunter, loved the outdoors and loved to cook.

Edward is preceded in death by his father, William Goodney and his mother, Gertrude Findley.

Edward is survived by his wife Shelia Goodney, son Brad Goodney and wife Krisha Goodney, daughter Tina Gilstrap and husband Jason Gilstrap, Grand children Haley Goodney, Hanna Gilstrap, Grant Goodney, Rylee Goodney, Mason Gilstrap and Kayson Gilstrap, his sister Deborah Baker and Husband Billy Baker, special aunt and uncle Theresa and Willie Hoffart and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edward James Goodney’s service will be held at 10:00 AM on 01-28-2022 at Cashner Funeral Home.
