Donald A. Wells passed away November 26, 2014 in Conroe, TX. He was born December 9, 1930 in Walker County, TX to Richard Earl and Ada Elizabeth Giles Wells. Don is a graduate of Conroe High School and The University of Houston. Also, he graduated from Sam Houston University with a Master’s Degree. Don is a longtime teacher of Conroe I.S.D, where he served as the 1st principal at O.A. Reaves Elementary School. He is a devoted member, deacon, usher and The Encourager’s Class at The First Baptist Church, Conroe. Don was a Past Master and member of the Conroe Masonic Lodge #748 for over 60 years. Don and Leah Fultz Wells were married for 56 years. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Leah Fultz Wells and son, Russell Dean Wells. He is survived by his oldest son, Richard E. and wife Mary K. Wells of Conroe, daughter in law, Annette Wells of Plano, grandchildren, Gina Wells Patschke and husband Jason of Magnolia, Kirt Wells and wife Deanna of Cypress, Emily Wells Steele and husband Evan of Plano, great grandchildren, Gage, Dane; Jade Patschke and Harper Steele of Plano and sister in law Margaret Francis and husband Don of Conroe. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home (801 Teas Rd Conroe, Texas, 77303). Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 3:00pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Merle Blado officiating. Burial will follow in Copeland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Walker, John Gillespie, Walter Jett, Jerry Reeve, Pat George and Ernest Coker, Tom Robinson, James Stewart, Kirt Wells, and Jason Patschke. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church and the Encourager’s Sunday School Class.
