David Russell Glidewell

David Glidewell, 59, of Conroe, Texas born in Kankakee, IL passed Thursday July 28, 2022 at St Luke’s Hospital in The Woodlands, TX. A celebration of life service will be at 3pm at Restoration Church Woodforest on Saturday August 20, 2022. Memorials may be made to the family’s wishes.

David Glidewell worked retail for 38 years at Eagle Foods, Ultra Foods, & Kroger. His last career was in Texas as a realtor with his daughter & son in law at Keller Williams Advantage. He was born October 7, 1962 in Kankakee, the son of Walter “Bud’ & Eldora Peterson Glidewell. He was a 1980 graduate of Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, & collecting Hot Wheels.

Surviving is his wife of 39 years, Tammie Glidewell whom he married May 21, 1983. Daughter Amanda Hofstra & husband David Hofstra. Son Alex Glidewell, and wife Cortney Glidewell. 5 grandsons Caleb, Jacob & Andrew Hofstra and Jace & James Glidewell all of Texas.

Additional surviving relatives are brother Greg & wife Linda Glidewell of Bradley, IL, sister Doreen & husband Todd Soltysik of Kankakee, IL & sister-in-law Cathy Glidewell of St. Anne, IL along with numerous nieces & nephews.

Preceded in death by parents Walter & Eldora Glidewell , brothers Larry Glidewell and Michael Glidewell , his sister-in-law Sharon Glidewell & his beloved golden retriever, Ranger.
