Darlene Wallis, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 27th, 2023, at the age of 82. She was born on December 18th, 1940, to Joseph and Gertrude Marbach. Darlene lived a life dedicated to serving her family and community, and her love for Christ was evident in all she did.
Growing up, Darlene was a talented majorette and loved expressing herself through dance. She had an eye for fashion and loved gardening. Throughout her life, she was known for her elegance and grace, and she instilled these qualities in her daughter, Debra Sorich, and granddaughter, Anastasia Curnel.
Darlene was a devoted wife to her late husband, Don Wallis, who she is now reunited with in heaven. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised their daughter with love and care. She was a loving mother who put her family first, and her daughter and granddaughter were her greatest joys in life.
In addition to her love for her family, Darlene had a soft spot for animals, particularly dogs. She was a talented cook and enjoyed hosting friends and family in her home, always making everyone feel welcome and loved.
Darlene's kind and generous spirit was felt by all who knew her. She was a great neighbor and friend, and her warm smile and kind words will be deeply missed.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Debra Sorich, and son-in-law, Robert Sorich, as well as her granddaughter, Anastasia Curnel, and grandson-in-law, Adam Curnel. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends but is now at peace in the loving arms of her Savior. We take comfort in the knowledge that we will one day be reunited with her in heaven.
