Sue Evelyn Baker Hunsucker, 81 of Conover went home to be with her Lord and Savior and her beloved husband Hal on Monday, October 21, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice.
Born May 14, 1932 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Howard G. Baker and Violet Yount Baker White. Mrs. Hunsucker worked as a bookkeeper for Pinnacle Furniture. She loved her church and family and loved telling stories about her grandchildren. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover, where she was in the choir for over 50 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne Hunsucker and wife Crystal of Conover; brother and sister-in-law Harold Baker and wife Shelbie of Conover; grandson Landon Tate and granddaughter Lily Elise Hunsucker.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Rev. Scott Johnson and Rev. Anton Lagoutine will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at the church.
