Robert Earl Keever

Born July 9, 1921 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Jacob Poley Keever and Ottie Kale Keever. Robert was a 1938 graduate of Newton-Conover High School and later graduated from Mrs. Mebane’s Business School in Newton. He retired from MDI where he worked for many years as a salesman. Robert was a devoted member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Conover.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Margaret Hines Keever; a daughter, Deborah Keever and sister, Ruth Keever Yount.

Survivors include his daughter, Priscilla Ann Davis of Catawba; sister, Gladys Keever Propst of Conover; brother-in-law, Gene Hines of Conover; grandchildren, Tammy Martin and husband, Steve, of Zebulon, Jeremy Keever of Greensboro and Justin White of Sherrills Ford. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Conover.

Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.to 10:45 a.m. at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church prior to the service.
