Wilma Rachel Cansler Yount, age 89, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, FL. Born April 6, 1931, in Lincolnton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Rosa Belle Cansler.
In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph G. Yount; son, Robert Gerald Yount; sister, Louise Campbell; and brother, Everette Cansler.
She is survived by daughter, Roxanna Y. Mote and husband, Joseph of Daytona Beach, FL; and Carol Lewallen, a daughter of her heart.
Rachel has lived in Daytona Beach for 40 years.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Cemetery, 3505 E. Main St., Claremont, NC, on Friday, January 29, 2021, with Rev. John William Dulin III officiating.
