Rachel Frances Wishon Welch

Rachel Frances Wishon Welch, 81, of Conover passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022. Born Friday, February 9, 1940, in Catawba County, Rachel was the daughter of Tommy Jefferson Wishon and Mamie Frances Leatherman Wishon.

Rachel was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of Wesley Chapel U.M.C in Newton, NC.

In addition to her parents; Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny K Welch; son, Terry Dean Welch, brothers, Tommy J. Wishon Jr, James W. Wishon, Billy A. Wishon; sisters, Betty Jean Lynch and Jeanette Wishon.

Those left to cherish her memory are her bother George Franklin Wishon and sisters, Irene Dellinger and Jaqueline Wishon, and many extended family members.

A celebration of life will be held at 3pm, Monday, January 24, 2022 at Wesley Chapel U.M.C, 2613 Wesley Chapel Rd. Newton, NC with Pastor Peter Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45pm on Monday, January 24, 2022.
