Nancy Louise Heafner Propes

She was born in Catawba County on September 16, 1939 and was the daughter of Grace Alice Adams Heafner of Newton and the late Ross Eugene Heafner.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Eugene Heafner; and her sister, Brenda Joyce Heafner Steelman.

She is survived by her daughter, Alica P. Propst of Newton; brother, Carson Heafner and wife, Doris of Newton; grandchildren, Anthony Dale Propst of Conover, Allen Propst of Conover, and Windy Bivens of Newton; and four great-grandchildren.

Nancy retired from the furniture industry.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Drum Funeral Home Chapel in Conover officiated by Rev. Don Sigmon.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Eastview Cemetery in Newton.

A memorial can be given to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
