Marsha Ray (Kilmer) Day

Marsha Ray Kilmer Day, age 67, of, NC, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. She was born June 13, 1952 in Troy, PA, the daughter of the late Lionel Edward Kilmer and Dorothy Jean Cox Kilmer.

Marsha loved life, her husband, family and friends. She always cared for people and put others before herself. Marsha never met a stranger. She was an organizer who loved to plan events.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 21 years, Eugene Day; sons, Lee Strange and wife, Jillane of Lawrenceville,PA, Jason Day and wife, Courtney of Lenoir, NC; daughters, Mary Moore and husband, Wayne Carl of Tioga, PA, and Diana Padgett and husband, John of Taylorsville, NC; brothers, Martin Kilmer and wife, Roberta of Catawissa, PA, Allen Kilmer and wife, Helen of Alba, PA; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Tabernacle Advent Christian Church, Fellowship Hall, 1522 W Wildwood Rd., in Lenoir, NC, with Pastor Bob Copeland officiating. An additional Celebration of Life will be held in Tioga, PA at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hudson Hospice, Robbins Center, 526 Pine Mtn. Rd., Hudson, NC 28638.

The Day family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Conover, NC.
