Carolyn Mae Bowman Lail

Carolyn was born July 23, 1939 in Catawba County to the late Wendell Kelly and Ruby Caroline Bowman. She retired from Clyde Fabrics, and enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to Elvis, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Eugene Lail; daughter, Robin Annette Lail; grandfather, Samuel Bowman; grandmother, Lillie Brown Bowman; and uncle, Ray E. Bowman.

Survivors include her son, Keith Eugene Lail of Salt Lake City, UT; daughters, Genia C. Hamilton of Iron Station, and Pamela Leon of Maiden; grandchildren, Brandi Sanchez, Miranda Valerio, Tailynn Lail, Kendra Savoy, Amber Lail, April Woody, Scottie Lail, Christina Lail, and Megan Lail; great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Cheyenne, Santana, Seth, Matthew, Junior, Brianna, Brandon, Alexis, Dillion, Garland, Savanah, Desiree, Ayden, Cathy, and Jordan; special friend, Darryl Black; aunt, Linda Bowman Herman of Newton; and uncles, Larry E. Bowman of Hickory.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2015, in the chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover. Reverend Kenny Allen will officiate. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Newton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
