Mark A. Powell, 49, of Connersville died Thursday, October 9, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
A Connersville native, Mark was born February 12, 1965 to Harry and Pearl Maupin Powell. He attended Connersville area schools and graduated from Connersville High School. Mark was employed at H & E Machine as a mill operator. On August 11, 2012, he was married to his wife, Connie. Mark was a muscle car enthusiast and also liked antique trucks. He loved NASCAR and especially followed Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Mark is survived by his wife; his step-daughter, Brittany Finch and her husband, Alex of San Diego, California.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Wayne Blair, officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday.
