Veronica Dwyer

Veronica Dwyer of Congers, New York, 94 Years old, passed away on January 20th 2022. Veronica was a lifelong resident of Rockland. She was born on March 31st 1927 to Catherine and Abram Scank. She was predeceased by her brother Abe Scank. She graduated from Haverstraw High School and married the late Leonard Sieredzinksi on June 18, 1950. She attended RCC to obtain her real estate license, where she met her current husband, Donald M. Dwyer. They were married for 48 years this month.

In her professional career, Veronica was a supervisor at the New York Phone Company. She was also the manager at Provident Bank. She attended all of her grandchildren’s events, never missing a game or show. She cherished her family. Veronica loved nothing more than spending the holidays cooking homemade meals surrounded by the people she loved. She was generous in every way, even to the birds that frequently visited her backyard.

Veronica is survived by her daughter Catherine (Joe) Gagliardo, son Leonard (Sue) Sieredzinski and daughter Helen (Victor) Diaz. She is also survived by her grandchildren Marisa and Joey Gagliardo, Victoria, Paris, Vincent and Victor Diaz. She is also survived by seven step children, nine step grandchildren, and five step great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in Congers, NY from 3-7 pm on Monday January 24, 2022. A mass will be held at 10 am on Tuesday January 25, 2022 at St. Paul’s Church in Congers, NY. Burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Congers NY.
