Gladys grew up in Concord and was educated in the Concord public school system until she graduated. After school, she was employed by Sprague Electric until she semi-retired and then worked at Granite VNA in Concord. Gladys was a proud Mother and Grandmother who loved spending time with her large family. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, taking them camping and teaching them how to cook. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and making crafts with her son Mike. Most of all, she loved having all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren over for celebrations.
She is survived by her four sons Thomas Labrie and his wife Donna, Anthony Labrie and his spouse Steven Green, Albert Labrie and his wife Marlene, and Michael Labrie and his wife Claudette; six daughters Sarah Chase, Betty Carr and her husband George, Helen Dlubac and her husband Timothy, Tracy Dlubac, Loretta Gomes and her husband Peter, and Becky Larson and her husband Robert; former son-in-law Kevin Dlubac; 20 grandchildren Jason, Christina, Tina, Sarah, Sheri, Joshua, Jessica, Mary, Gregory, Ashley, Matthew, Joanna, Megan, Rosey, Makayla, Albert Jr., Jake, Chelsea, Kelsey and Kassidy; 29 great-grandchildren Robin, Caitlyn, Jason, Tristin, Alan, Caleb, Devon, Laura, Samantha, William, Harrison, Tylor, Ava-Lee, Jared, Brady, Madison, Olivia, Khloe, Treyden, Octavia, Kiera, Ruari, Aoife, Fion, Moira, Kenadie, Adelyn, Paisley and Oliver; 6 great-great grandchildren, Elijah, Ashlyn, Melody, Jevin, Maeve and Tylor; sister in laws Shirley Abbott and Janet Labrie; many nieces, nephews and her dog Henry. This is the legacy she has left behind.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard W. Labrie; son Richard Labrie Jr.; daughter Robin Szalajeski; granddaughter Amy Flanders; brothers Billy, Lawrence, Walter, Richard and Rodney; sisters Alice, Faith, Hope and Charity; brother-in-laws Edward Labrie, Robert Labrie and his wife Beverly; sister-in-laws Loretta Hunneyman and her husband Larry, Rita Hooker and her husband James.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 10 AM at Christ the King Parish, 72 South Main St, Concord, NH. Following the Mass of Christian burial will be an interment at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 North State St., Concord, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Gladys may be offered to the Cancer Society.
