Carolyn A. Booth, 64, of East Concord passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2011 after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Carolyn was born in Boscawen, NH on December 20, 1946 to Lennart and Idella (Knowlton) Swenson. Carolyn attended Boscawen schools and was a graduate of Concord High School class of 1964. Carolyn attended the New Hampshire School of Nursing in 1964 and 1965.
Carolyn worked in the office at Sears in Concord and then for a number of years at Concord National Bank in various positions.
In 1969 Carolyn married Stephen W. Booth of Boscawen and then moved from Boscawen to East Concord in 1977. In the past 12 years Carolyn was employed by the New Hampshire Federal Credit Union in Concord.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 41 years, Stephen Booth and her son Ryan both of Concord. Carolyn is also survived by her brothers Brian Swenson and his wife Vicky, Gus Swenson and his wife Kim; and 17 nieces and nephews; also cousins, aunts and uncles.
During the past 29 years Carolyn has enjoyed many summer weekends and vacations at her summer home on Lake Winnipesauke. Carolyn also enjoyed traveling around the North East and Eastern Canada.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 5pm-8pm at the Bennett Funeral Home Church Street Chapel (the Brick Building) at 3 Church Street, Concord.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 1:30pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.
The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
