William W. Taylor

William W. “Wild Bill” Taylor, age 85, of Reynoldsburg, died Thursday, June 16, 2022 with his family at his side. He was born May 9, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late William Marshall and E. Gertrude Taylor. Until his retirement in 2021 Bill safeguarded taxpayer money as an inspector with DCSC for decades. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Diane (Pillow) Taylor; his children: Blandy (Paul) Mathews, Zindy Taylor (Herb Hoover), Thomas Taylor (fiancé, Jessica Ni), John (Tina) Brown, Mary Brown, Page Davis and Bonnie Banta; grandchildren: Dylan, Hayden (Amanda), Laura, and Krista (Patrick) Ryan (Lillian), Lauren (Todd), Andrea (Brian), Emily (Jeffrey), Alexis (Deshaun), and Logan; great-grandchildren: August, Lucas Avanell, Abigail, Alexander, Tinsley, Killian, Emilyn, Xavier, Avianna, Kingston, Cameron, Phoenix, Mallory, Derek, Audrey, Justin and Nathan; and brother, Tom (Nan)Taylor.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Marshall and E. Gertrude Taylor and daughter Andy Brown.

Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Ohio Air National. He was a longtime member of the National Hot Rod Association and was passionate about classic American muscle cars. He was a proud American devoted to his patriotic beliefs. He loved trees bird watching, hunting and anything involving nature. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4383 East Broad St. Columbus, OH 43213. Family will receive friends at a reception at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232 from 12 noon-1:00 pm Tuesday immediately following the memorial mass.
