Born on November 13, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the 6th of 10 children born to Giacomo and Palma (Biase) Piccininni. Teresa met her future husband Vince Julian when he was stationed with the Army at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn. They were married on May 2, 1953 at the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Brooklyn and celebrated 60 years together. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She overcame significant obstacles after a stroke at age 27 to raise a family of five. Her strong faith in the Lord and Blessed Mother helped her through each day. She enjoyed being a homemaker, though always dreamed of being a librarian with her love of reading. Her 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren were one of the greatest joys of her life. She enjoyed reminiscing about her extended family in both Ohio and New York, and the lifetime of love they gave brought her unending joy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Giacomo and Palma (Biase) Piccininni; husband, Vince Julian; sisters, Esther (Angelo) Ridolphi, Anna (Steve) Cambria, Annette Piccininni and Helen (Bob) Petrie; brothers, Joseph (Gloria) Piccininni, Augie (Mia) Piccininni, and Dominic (first wife Margie) Piccininni.
She is survived by her sister, Lena (Argeo) Susi; sisters-in-law, Betty Burnette, Mia Piccininni and Vinnie Piccininni; children, Joseph (Lori) Giuliani, Joann (Thomas) Spain, Barbara (Joseph) Bargdill, Mary (David) Whitacre, James (Mary) Giuliani; grandchildren, Anna, Sara, Enrique, Molly, Frankie, Megan, Katie, Angela, Nathanael, Maria, Joseph, Brandon, Elizabeth, Shane, Luke and Michael; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special “daughter” Shari Redding; and special forever friend Florence Loftus.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am Friday, February 3, 2023 at St. James the Less Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. James the Less Parish, 1652 Oakland Park Blvd., Columbus, OH 43224.
