I’ve been waiting until I could compose myself before relaying my thoughts on Bob. Bob and I go back to Northland HS, where we first met. He was always easy going and very sociable. We lost touch after high school but reconnected at the Northland HS All-Classes Reunion three or four years ago, and we picked up where we left off 48 years before. He jumped right in with the Northland High School Alumni Foundation (NHSAF), helping and giving ideas where he could. I loved his stories of traveling to Wisconsin, Minnesota, Chicago, Ohio, and the Carolinas in search of the perfect IPA. We would meet up locally to hear music, his travels, talk politics, and drink Bob’s latest beer recommendations. We had talked of meeting up this summer somewhere for music and a drink, but I never got that phone call or email back. Which was so unlike him. I called him the day of NHSAF All-Classes Reunion in August, knowing how much he loved participating in it. I received a weird automated message that didn’t make sense to me. For some reason I googled his name, and that is when I found out he had passed away. Everyone was shocked and saddened to hear the news that night. We all lost a friend. NHSAF will always be grateful for his generosity, time, wisdom, and friendship. I think, Bob who helped sell T-shirts at the NHS Alumni football games, was smiling down on us last week. We never sold so many T-shirts at any event by a huge margin as we did that night. Sincere Condolences, Neal (Ric) Johnson & NHSAF

I am so sad that we lost Bob recently.  I have known Bob for more than 30 years and I would describe him as one of the kindest persons I have ever met.  Bob took me to my first professional football game to see the Cleveland Browns sometime in the 80’s.  We sat in the dog pound and ate polish dogs on the way into the stadium.  I feel blessed to have known Bob.  RIP my friend.

I remember Bob to be a kind and generous person.  He loved children of all ages.  When I think of Camp Mowana, I think of Bob.  May God's strength and peace continue to surround your family.

Bob was one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met. We drank many beers together. Talked beer, bourbon, music, dogs, food, even some politics. We had a few good trips, meeting in New Ulm, MN for bockfest, which we didn’t always make it to, since we enjoyed visiting with and got to know the townspeople. We will raise a glass in his honor next time we’re there. Rest in PEACE my friend. 
                              

Bob was a beautiful soul inside and out, he will be missed immensely.

Bob and I worked together in the Tax Department at American Hotels Register for many years. He was a very kind man. Always smiling. He loved music and movies. He had the biggest collection of anyone I knew.

Dear Bob, Thank you for being one of my first  and finest friends in Illinois, teaching me everything you know about sales tax exemptions, letting me beat you at bowling every once in a while, and being my guide to the best breweries, restaurants and events in the Midwest. I met Bob at Godown dog park. He was such a great guy, always bringing water for the dogs, giving scratches, and playing with any dog that asked. I gave him the name Uncle Bob. My dog always knew he could bring the ball to him (over and over and over) for a game of fetch. I got a few videos of them playing, and it actually went viral with millions of views! The internet loved how Bob always threw the ball for my Lito. We will miss him at Godown. It will not be the same without Bob and Jack.
