Richard Lewis Weis

Richard Weis, age 91, passed away peacefully January 12, 2018. Richard is predeceased by his parents; Martin and Leota Weis, brother; Kenneth Weis, daughter-in-law; Cynthia Weis and grandson; Jason Birchfield. He is survived by his children; Mark Weis and Marilee (Gary Dravenstott) Birchfield, grandchildren; Kara Birchfield, Tony (Wendy Valtman) Weis, Sharon (Dwight) DeHeart and Rachelle (Mike) McCallister, 7 great-grandchildren, and many loving extended family and friends. Richard was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Eagles Lodge. After serving his country he worked for Rockwell International for 37 years. He had a passion for restoring and working with classic cars and cheering on The OSU football and basketball teams. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer a donation be made in Richard's memory to The Alzheimer's Association of Central OH, 1379 Dublin Rd, Columbus, OH 43215. Friends and family may call Friday January 19, 2018 from 3pm to 6pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus OH 43229. A funeral service will take place at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL Saturday January 20, 2018 at 10am, processing to Northlawn Memory Gardens.
