Richard L. Henning, 84, of Columbus, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 18, 2014 at his home. He was born August 21, 1929 in Columbus to the late Alfred and Laura (Whonhas) Henning. Richard served in the Navy and graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Nancy A. Henning and his parents. He will be missed by his children, Bill (Rose) Henning, Brad (Lori) Henning and Beth (Jeff) Gatewood; grandchildren, Jesse and Seth Henning. Family will receive friends to celebrate his life on Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH.
