Richard "Rich" David Gordon

Rich was born August 19, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Richard David and Julia Catherine (Baldassaro) Gordon. Rich graduated from Northland High School in 1972 and attended Franklin University. He was employed by the State of Ohio Bureau of Unemployment Services, and retired in 2004 after 30 years of service. In his spare time, Rich enjoyed golf and softball, playing euchre, doing projects around his house and yard, participating in a men’s bible study group, and spending time with neighbors, friends and family.

Rich is survived by his sisters, Lori (Randy) Henderson of Canton, OH, Sandi Lemley of Tulsa, OK, and Judy (Pete) Miller of Hilliard, OH; nieces and nephews, Ryan (Kaja) Henderson, Angela (Liam) Henderson, Andrea Henderson, and Christian Lemley; great nieces and nephews, Nea, Mikkel and Ari Henderson and Hanna Lemley. Rich is also survived by two very dear friends, Eric and Lil Zajdel. Rich considered them family, and their love, support and friendship were truly a blessing in his life. His sense of humor will be missed by all who knew Rich.

Family will receive friends Friday, January 6, 2023 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus where funeral service will follow at 12:30pm. Interment to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Calvary Chapel of Columbus (6075 E Livingston Ave, Columbus 43232) or the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio.
