The entire family would like to express the utmost gratitude for the exemplary care he received from the Dublin and Columbus Paramedics and the staff at Dublin Methodist Hospital. We are forever grateful for service and care.
Throughout his life,Peter did what he wanted and provided what other people needed. Peter was known for the love of his wife, Deb, his family and his beloved dogs, Flash and Maven. His grandchildren, Fio, Alma and Seamus, made him immensely proud as he cheered them on in all their pursuits. His passion for work spanned 28+ years at Grant Hospital as an anesthesiologist, caring for patients, earning professional respect of his colleagues, and forming close and lasting friendships.
Peter and Deb shared the love of music, movies, and meals with family and friends, this gave great pleasure throughout his life. He loved to travel, especially to Bar Harbor, Maine and Stowe, Vermont. In Maine, he loved spending endless hours riding the carriage roads in Acadia National Park and to watch the magnificent sunrises. In Stowe, he loved cross country skiing and sharing a good Vermont IPA with family and friends.
Cycling was his passion. Peter was a successful, long distance road racer, living to ride fast, often pulling, keeping the pace, and always encouraging his pack. Peter was an inspiration to everyone who had the pleasure of riding with him.
All who knew him will remember his smile, laugh and passion for the competition. He was always gentle. His enduring warmth, kindness, and caring will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
