Patricia Ann Rockwell, age 86, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Patricia was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, and grew up in Columbus, daughter of the late Charles and Kathryn Stewart. Also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Thomas C. Rockwell, sisters, Kathryn Stewart and Charlotte Frame. Following high school, Patricia graduated from Grant Hospital School of Nursing and also graduated from the first graduating class of The Ohio State University Nursing School of Anesthesia. Patricia worked as a CRNA, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist throughout her career and retired from Ohio State Medical Center. Patricia was a witty and intelligent woman who had a great sense of humor. She was always fun to be around and lived life to the fullest. She previously was a member of the Sherlock Holmes Club where she hosted countless mystery dinners, and was also a past member of the Red Hat Society. In addition, Patricia enjoyed travel and entertaining. Entertaining and throwing lavish parties was truly her passion. She had been named Hostess of the Year by the Citizens Journal. She will be greatly missed by her sister, Barbara Stewart; brother, Charles (Annemarie) Stewart; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 12 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until time of service Friday.
