Maxine Hudson, age 106, passed away April 18, 2016. She was born in Lima, Ohio and grew up there with her mother, father, sister and two brothers. After graduating high school Maxine attended business school and she spent several years working in Lima until she married in 1934. She and her husband moved to Springfield, Ohio, where she raised her two children, Michael and Sharon. She re-entered the workforce and eventually became a licensed realtor (one of very few females in that profession at the time). After retirement she and her husband spent their time between their homes in Florida and Indian Lake, Ohio. There they had many happy years making new friends, being actively involved in two church "homes", and enjoying visits with their 4 much loved grand-children. Twenty eight years ago, she and her husband moved to Friendship Village of Dublin, where her beloved husband of 62 years passed away in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her sister, brothers, son-in-law and a precious grandson. She leaves behind her son, Michael (Sandy) of Denver and daughter Sharon Millisor of Columbus, OH, 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 2:30pm with visitation one hour prior at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. Private interment will be Sat. July 9th in St. Mary's, Ohio. In lieu of flowers please consider donations in her memory to National Church Residences Hospice, 2335 North Bank Drive, Columbus, OH 43220 or a charity of your choice.
The family would personally like to thank the excellent team at NCR Hospice and the special caregivers at Friendship Village of Dublin for all their care of concern.
