Mary Louise Schmitz

Mary Louise Schmitz, age 94, died Tuesday May 24, 2016 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Arthur William Schmitz, parents; Edgar and Lillian Peck, son; Garold Schmitz, grandson; Christopher Chittum, son-in-law; Charles Michael Baer, and her 9 siblings. Mary is survived by her children; Sara Baer, Theresa (Stan) Sheldon, William (Sarah) Schmitz, Cathy (Eric) Daily, John (Cheryl Reece) Schmitz, Janet (Chris) Chittum, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sister-in-law; Sister Rita Schmitz OSF, many nieces and nephews, and friends. During WWII Mary helped in the war effort by being "Rosie the Riveter" which is where she met her husband. She loved her family and being a part of each of their lives. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 31, 2016 from 6-8pm at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday June 1, 2016 at 11 am at St. Joseph Cemetery 6440 S.
