Mary Blum Ludwig

Mary Blum Ludwig, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. She was preceded in death by husbands, Carl Blum and Edward Ludwig; parents, George and Mary Sollner; brothers, John and George Sollner; sister, Susie Lehnert; and sister in-law, Martha Ekad. Mary retired from DCSC after 31 years of government service. She graduated from South High School in 1941. She was a member of Ladies Oriental Shrine Thea Court #5, Eastern Star Triangle Chapter 592, Southeast Lions Auxiliary, Damen Section of the Columbus Maennerchor, Saxon Club, NARFE, Senior Citizens of Reynoldsburg and Groveport, and DSCC Officers Club. She was also a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Bexley. Mary is survived by son, Don (Jill) Blum; daughter, Diane (Jim) Pidgeon; grandsons, Jim Gillenwater, Joe (Lisa) Gillenwater, and Eric (Erin) Pidgeon and David (Kirsten) Blum; granddaughters, April (Brent) Bertram, Gretchen (Anthony) Ardizzone, and Michelle Pidgeon; 12 great grandchildren; step-daughter, Beverly (Dave) Metcalf; step-grandchildren, Pam Metcalf, Scott (Cheri) Metcalf, and Jeff (Jen) Metcalf; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary will enter into the Kingdom free of physical restriction. God bless and love you. Friends may call on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at Christ Lutheran Church, 2314 East Main St., Bexley, Ohio where funeral service will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 10:00AM. Pastor Tim Iseringhausen officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio. Contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to Christ Lutheran Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL.
