Leonard S. Smith passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013, He was born February 8, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Samuel and Helen Smith. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Catherine; and his sister Doris Smith. He is survived by his children: Thomas M. (Cathy), Richard L. (Karen), Daniel S. (Jean), James S. (Brenda) and Mary Ann (James) Brooks; grandchildren Matthew, Jennifer, Megan, Aidan, Christina, Sean, Julianna, Shane and Julian. Retired from AEP, he was very active in the Church Choir with St. Anthony Catholic Church. Family will receive friends Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, where the Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2013. Private interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.
