John E. Kelleher

John E. Kelleher, Jr. became an angel peacefully, surrounded by the loves of his life on May 30, 2020. He was born on August 29, 1948 in Jamaica Queens, NY to the late John and Harriet Larsen Kelleher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Richard Kelleher.

John graduated from Seaford High School and Saint Francis College in Brooklyn, ahead of serving proudly in the United States Air Force as a Missile Commander. It was in high school that he met the love of his life Mary and would later get married in 1971.

Together, John and Mary created a beautiful life, and two children Elizabeth (Kelleher) Dawson (Paul) and Matthew Kelleher (Stacy) along with their beautiful granddaughter Clare Rose Kelleher. John will be greatly missed by many family and friends whose lives he touched through personal and professional means. John loved to traveling, college football, the New York Yankees, the New York Giants, golf, and his family.

John is survived by his brother Michael Kelleher (Carol) and 3 loving brother in-laws.

A catholic funeral celebrating John’s life will be private with a celebration of life at a later date.
