Joanne Stewart Lewis

Joanne graduated from Lorain High School and was a graduate of Elyria Memorial Hospital nursing program. She had an active nursing career and retired from Riverside Methodist Hospital in 1997. She loved her family, gardening, reading, cooking, sewing, traveling and her many “grandpets”. She was very active at her church, cooking in the kitchen, volunteering in the office, greeting and ushering, She was a member of many groups including P.E.O., an educational organization for women.

Joanne will be greatly missed by daughter Laurie (Mike) Schoening, of Noblesville, Indiana, Wendy Lewis of Columbus, Ohio and Jodi (Rick) Newman of Perrysburg, Ohio, grandchildren Michael, Jack (Rachel), Phil (Molly), Kelsea (Adam), Abrielle and two great-granddaughters, sister, Nancy (Jim) Monahan, of Dublin, Ohio and her family and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her brother, James Stewart.

A Memorial Service will be held at Linworth United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 26 at 2:00 PM with a light reception to follow.
