Janet L. Roffe

Janet L. Roffe, 78, of Columbus, passed away at Riverside Hospital on Sunday, June 17, 2012 surrounded by her loving and caring family. She was born May 19, 1934 in Oldtown, Kentucky, to the late Reed and Ruby Willis Scott. She was a former employee of Meijers and was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Steel Magnolias. She is preceded in death by her first husband Charles Mashburn, brothers William C. Scott and C. Paul Scott and four sisters, Donna Scott, Clara Callihan, Mary Bellew and Evelyn Adkins; daughter Beverly Kay and sons-in-law Mike Fitzgerald and Sam Stumbo. She is survived by her husband Arthur J. Roffe of 34 years, daughters Cecilia (Sue) Ann (Floyd) Brunson, Pamela E. Fitzgerald, and J. Lynne (Bob Hinty) Stumbo, step-children Jennifer (Joel) Wikoff, and James Roffe, , brothers Reed Scott, Jr., Larry Scott and three sisters Betty Craig, Wanda Mills and Rita Blankenship, sisters-in-law Bonnie (Bob) Warren, Evelyn Wright, Kathryn Roffe and Mary (Barry) Valentine, eighteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a loving wife and the Matriarch of the family. We will miss her wisdom! Family will receive friends Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday from 11 AM until time of service at 12 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Interment will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
