James A. Sullivan passed away at his home, with family by his side on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. He joins his loving wife of 59 years, June Sullivan; parents Ewing Bass and Mary Lou Sullivan; brothers Wesley and Norman Sullivan; and sister Maxie Lee Cottrell.
A devoted husband, dad and grandfather, Jim is survived by his sons: James (Missy) Cottrell, Dennis (Jessica) Sullivan, Ron (Karen) Sullivan; eight grandchildren; Joshua Cottrell, Jessica Northup, Goldie (John) Sullivan, Lacie Waller, Keith Sullivan, Crystal Sullivan, Austin Sullivan, Daniella Sullivan; seven great grandchildren; James Sullivan, Isabella Sullivan, Don Don Waller, Mackenzie Waller, Clifford James “CJ” Waller, Jaxon Northup, Jameson Northup; and special friends Dan and Jill Scott, their children Dana (Dylan) Griffin and Jena (John) Hickey, and their grandchildren Jackson and Justin Hickey.
A veteran of the United States Army, Jim served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Columbia Research and Development after 43 years of dedicated service as a Machinist. After retirement, Jim supported June’s in-home daycare until they both retired. Jim enjoyed watching the Columbus Blue Jackets and The Ohio State Buckeyes…Go Bucks!
A Celebration of Life will be held at Sharon Woods Church, 5959 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, 43229 at 11am on April 22, 2022. In lieu of flowers, please make donation to The American Cancer Society in Jim’s name.
