James E. Dowler

James Dowler, age 84, passed away August 7, 2017 with his loving wife by his side. Jim is predeceased by his parents; Arleigh and Irene Dowler, brothers; Raymond and Ralph Dowler and his beloved chocolate lab retriever; Muffin. Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years; Marilyn, daughter Deborah (Ray) Emerson, grandson; West Emerson, sisters-in-law; Charlotte Snyder, Virginia Lee and Barbara (Don) Carroll as well as many caring nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. After graduating high school Jim served the Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service Jim worked for the Rosemont Center until his retirement. Jim was a quiet and reserved person who loved watching The Ohio State Buckeyes or the Cleveland Browns whenever he could. Friends and family may call Thursday August 10, 2017 from 11am-12pm with a funeral service directly following at 12pm at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave, Columbus OH 43232.
