Jack Richard Lutz

Jack Richard Lutz, age 86 of Columbus, Ohio left this world on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Jack was born in Ohio on February 4, 1939 to the late Artie Dale & Gladys Marie (Montgomery) Lutz. Also preceding in death was his first wife Nancy Sue (Needles) Lutz; son Joel Lutz; brother Joseph Lutz; sister Nancy Lou (Howie) Lutz Ganong. Jack suffered from polio as a teenager. One of his darkest days was when he lost his best friend and brother Joe. In his early adulthood he could often be found working at Lutz Pancake Haven at Indian Lake, where he met his first wife. Jack was a 1957 graduate of Worthington High School and attended The Ohio State University. Jack & Johanna went on over 48 Caribbean cruises throughout their 44 years of marriage. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Johanna (DeWeese) Lutz; daughter Loralee Lutz; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 1:00-4:00pm Sunday, March 30, 2025 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, March 31, 2025 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 2151 Dorset Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. Interment will immediately follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
