Howard O. (Brad) Kincade, age 94, with his girls by his side, left us for “the green, green grass of Home” on May 15, 2013. Howard was born in Athens County, Ohio on September 16, 1918 to the late Arthur and Agnes (Robinson) Kincade. Preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Icie; brother, Ralph; sisters, Bernice, Faye Roush, Twila Madden and Helen Neff. A graduate of Rome Canaan High School, Howard proudly served his country with the U.S. Army’s 346th Infantry. During WWII at the Battle of the Bulge, he was wounded and held captive for several months, earning him the Purple Heart. In 2009 he was privileged to join Honor Flight to see his WWII Memorial in Washington DC. Howard retired as credit manager from General Tire Sales and was a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans. Howard is survived by his daughters, MaryJane “MJ” (Dave) Hensley and Karen (Steve) Cox all of Orient, OH; grandchildren, Jamie and Jody Bocook; great-grandchildren, Zac and Jessica Bocook, Brittany and Anthony Allen; great-great-grandson, Connor, and unborn great-great-granddaughter, Payton; step-grandchildren, Kelli Maynard, Eric Hensley and their families; loving nieces, nephews and caregivers at Emeritus at Pinnacle. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Disabled American Veterans or Honor Flight in Howard’s memory. Family will receive friends 2-5pm Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204 where services will be held at 10am Monday; Pastor Rob Conrad, officiating; interment Sunset Cemetery.
