Herbert Jones

Herbert Eugene Jones, 91, of Marysville and formally of Dublin, passed away on Saturday, March 21,2020. Herb was born on October 14, 1928 in Wellston, Ohio to Homer and Edith Camink Jones, both deceased. He served in the Army as a Military Policeman in Fort Knox during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged he married on March 28, 1953 and is survived by his loving wife, Janet Faye Ogdin Jones. Herb is also survived by his children Connie John Doss and Keith Jones, brother Richard Janice Jones, sisters Marcy Newvahner and Florace Don Morrow. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert and sisters Eleanor, Phyllis, Marilyn, and Gerry.

He spent a lifetime of service as an appliance repairman. He spent 30 years as a trustee at Round Lake Christian Camp.He spent many years working as an employee and volunteer at Worthington Christian Village. He also spent 55 years as a member of Discover Christian Church serving in many capacities. Herb was always willing to help anyone and never knew a stranger.

Due to COVID-19 a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
