Harold “Burt” Williams, age 89 of Upper Arlington, peacefully passed away on December 12, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold Stewart and Stella Elisabeth Slack Williams and his beloved wife of 55 years Claudine (who passed away November 4, 2015). He is survived by his children, Eric Alan of Mineral Ridge, OH and Timothy Dan (Deborah Lynn) Upper Arlington, and granddaughters, Allison Leigh Williams Tanner (Marshall Tanner), Columbus, OH, Audrey Lane, Upper Arlington and Ashley Mae, Columbus, OH and his beloved companion Lily Baby (Dog).
He was born and raised in Licking County and graduated from Pataskala High School, 1953. He worked in highway construction and earned a BS in Agricultural Education, The Ohio State University. He served in the US Army then worked in management with International Harvester. He went on have a 25+ year career with Columbus & Southern Ohio Electric Company (now AEP) as a senior agricultural service advisor. In retirement, he spent much time serving others and participating in numerous activities with the Covenant Presbyterian Church (past Deacon) while being active in masonic events. As a 50+year member of Masonic Avery Lodge # 493 Hilliard, a Life member of Scottish Right 32 degree and the Shriners Organization, he earned an honorary degree in the OH Future Farmers of America. As a lifetime member of The Ohio State Alumni Association, he enjoyed his passion for golf as a member of The OSU Golf Club. Burt and Claudine spent many winters during retirement living in Naples, FL where he was active as a member of the condo association board.
He was one of 6 children, Betty Lou (WA, deceased), Barbara Ann (St Louis, MO deceased), Katherine Sue (Pataskala, OH deceased), Dean Edward (La Canada, CA) and David Lee (Powell, OH) with many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Burt will be held at 4 P.M. Thursday, December 19, 2024 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where a reception will be held following service lasting until 7 P.M. Reverend Joel Esala officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Midway Cemetery (Range Township in Southern Madison County).
