Francis (Frank) A. Healy, age 86, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022. Frank was born on February 23, 1936, in San Francisco to parents Edward and Eileen Healy. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Healy; son Dennis and daughter-in-law Amy; grandchild, Joel (Audrey); and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Catherine Healy. Frank grew up with his younger brothers, Thomas and Edward, Jr., in Chicago. He graduated from Loyola Academy and then earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees of chemistry from Xavier University. He served in the U.S. Army in the field artillery branch, ultimately rising to the rank of Major. He dedicated his professional career to working for Chemical Abstracts Service and played a key role in supporting the expansion of CAS’s facilities. He had a passion for leading CAS’ support of the “Picnic with the Pops” series and took real delight in seeing so many people attend concerts. He read voraciously, loved opera and classical music, was a talented cook, and had a very sharp sense of humor. The family would like to thank all the people who cared for and supported him in the final months of his life. In particular, his family thanks Audrey Amos, Beth Herring, Marcia Strall and the staff of First Community Village for their care. Friends may call Sunday, May 22 from 1 to 3 pm at SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME NORTHWEST at 1740 Zollinger Rd., Upper Arlington, OH 43221.
