Francine Alexis Wright was born on January 9, 1953 to Alexander Shaw Wright, Jr. And Marcel (Phillpotts) Wright in Detroit, Michigan. Her mother and father preceded her in death. She lost her mother when she was only nine years old. However, she carried on and went on to become successful. Her life was never easy but her faith in God gave her the strength to persevere.
She graduated from Northwestern High School in Detroit, Michigan and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1981 from Detroit College of Business. She was an Accountant for several years and worked for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company, Botsford Hospital, Health Alliance Plan, Cadillac Gage and Blue Care Network all based in Michigan.
She accepted faith at an early age, starting out as a Catholic and converted to Non-Denominational Christian faith. She put her faith before anything else. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing quilts and many other items. She also enjoyed singing in the choir for many years.
She will be dearly missed and cherished by her sister Deborah, two children Vershawn and Debrecca as well as Vershawn’s husband Michael. She leaves her seven grandchildren, Christopher, Lydia, Alexis, Danielle, Joshua, Alexander and Pierre. She also leaves her niece and nephew Remi and Rasheed. She was a great aunt to Armani, Amir, Ryen and Shaun. She will also be missed by her Grace Bible church family.
Francine was very smart and had a great sense of humor. In her later years she displayed a certain inner joy that came from her faith and had a ready smile for everyone.
