After 50 years of marriage, he is reunited in heaven with the love of his life, Judy. Dennis and Judy met at the Grandview Ox Roast in 8th grade, and they graduated from Grandview Heights in 1964.
Dennis was in the US Marine Reserves. He retired in 2007, after 31 loyal years with Anheuser-Busch. Dennis worked the night shift so he could be home to make breakfast, start something in the slow cooker for dinner, sleep during the day, and even be able to find time to coach baseball. His favorite days were packing up the Country Squire station wagon (with genuine imitation wood siding) to the pop-up tent camper and heading south for warmer weather a few times a year. Sitting by the campfire with an ice-cold Budweiser while Tim and Andy made s'mores. He was known to say, "it does not get any better than this".
Dennis was a kind and gentle true American who made friends wherever he went. Dennis enjoyed his retirement with his family. He enjoyed attending his grandson Lucas' many sporting events. He enjoyed hosting 4th of July events and watching the fireworks from his front yard with family, friends, and neighbors. He was very happy to be able to see his grandson Sam progress and succeed through the challenges of autism.
Preceded in death by his wife Judy, parents Darcie and Conelia Richardson, brother Ronald, sister Audrey, mother- and father-in-law Joanne and Harry Edgington, brother-in-law Jeff Koontz.
Survived by sons Tim (Anne) and Andy (Marlo), grandsons Lucas and Sam Richardson, sister-in-law Diane Koontz (Dave Jones), brother-in-law Brian (Kelly) Edgington, nieces and nephews.
