Carolyn Evon Savage Altmann, age 62 of Upper Arlington, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014. Carolyn was born and raised in Columbus, daughter of William Peters Savage, Jr. and the late Doris Maxine Benson Savage. Also preceded in death by her sister, Janet Greider, brother, William Savage, and niece, Cassandra Savage. Carolyn graduated from Asbury College. She worked as an activities director at The Forum at Knightsbridge and dedicated her life to elder and senior care. She was a member of Xenos Christian Fellowship and was active in many volunteer and church activities. Carolyn also enjoyed painting, listening to music, and playing the guitar. She will be greatly missed by her children, Kristofer Altmann and Heather Jackson; father, William Peters Savage, Jr.; sister-in-law, Armita Savage; nieces, Tammy Savage and Lynn (Rex) Wilson; nephews, Rick Greider and Randy (Lisa) Greider; and many other dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Monday, September 15, 2014.
