Bernadette Trovato Ludwig

Bernadette Trovato Ludwig, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Mt. Carmel East. Bernie was born July 23, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio to Frank and Eva Mae (Brown) Trovato. She was a not only a 1956 graduate of St. Mary of the Springs, but an honorary member of Gahanna-Lincoln High School, class of 1955. Bernie married Robert Ludwig on September 7, 1957. She retired from Cardinal Health Care and was a member of Shepherd Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sons, Daniel and Gregory; granddaughters Shannon and Sara; sister Frances Smith; nephew Tim Nesmith and sister-in-law Judith Gonzales. Surviving are her beloved husband of 62 years, Robert; sons Keith (Linda) Ludwig and Gary (Julie) Ludwig; daughter-in-law Jeri Ludwig; grandchildren Julie Ludwig with Gregory and Danielle, Crystal Ludwig with Brianna, Ryan and Logan, Jessica (Eric) Zumstein with Jackson; sister Angela Nesmith; nieces and nephews: David, Donna, Amy (Jay) Kraynak, Jenny (Miguel) Garcia and Abby (Jeff) Karnes; Tim (Rebecca) Gonzales and their children Gabriel, Nathaniel and Daniel; great-nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Family will welcome friends on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 10am - 12pm at Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, 425 S. Hamilton Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where the Celebration of Life service will begin at 12pm; Pastor Rob Paugh, officiating; a luncheon will be provided by the church following services. Private interment will be held at Forest Lawn at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice in her memory.
